AEG staff provided professional construction management services for inner and outer taxiways 75 feet in width, taxiway aprons 200 feet in width and a holding apron 200 feet in width with all aspects of infrastructure improvements, extensive utility relocations and associated coordination, related storm drainage connections, asphalt taxiway shoulders and taxiway lighting, and construction of roadways for service and crossover. Responsible for detailed constructability reviews, addressing contractor’s Requests for Information, associated design changes/revision, approval and processing of Change Orders/Extra Work Orders, coordination with design engineers and supervision of construction management staff. Responsibilities also included contract administration and negotiations, construction supervision, scheduling, progress reports and coordination with the Chicago Department of Aviation, FAA, and project and airport stakeholders proactively addressing challenges encountered at O’Hare Airport.
