AEG staff provided construction management for the Southwest Transit Project which consisted of the construction of nine (9) miles of a new high-speed transit line in the City of Chicago to Midway Airport. Responsibilities include coordination, constructability reviews to ensure compliance with IDOT and City of Chicago, specifications and procedures. Responsibilities also include contract administration and negotiations, construction supervision, scheduling, progress reports and constructability review of civil (roadway, grading and drainage, staging and maintenance of traffic) and structural bridge rehabilitation. Responsibilities also entailed monitoring construction activities to verify and ensure construction quantities comply with contract documents and are in accordance with City of Chicago Standards and Specifications.
