The Senior Structural Project Manager will lead the Structural Department; perform project setup; project management; oversight of project staff; assign and review work of the project delivery team; check work through QC and QA procedures; monitor progress; collaborate with all team disciplines; manage sub-consultants; preparation of proposals, scopes, budgets, and schedules; and day-to-day communication with the client.
This individual must be capable of developing highly innovative, creative, and efficient design solutions with the ability to guide initial design concepts/ideas from pursuit and selection through successful project completion on multiple projects. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to represent the firm, develop and maintain client relationships, lead proposal development, participate in interviews, and be a visible and active member of the transportation community through professional organization involvement. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in developing and leading final engineering deliverables
- IDOT, Illinois Tollway, and local municipality experience
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Desire to be a Project Manager in Structures
Preferred Qualifications
- PE licensure in Illinois
- SE licensure in Illinois in 1 – 2 years
- Master’s degree in civil/structural engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
