Atlas is in need of a CADD Manager to coordinate with our teams of surveyors, engineers, technicians and designers on transportation infrastructure projects to develop technical drawings from equipment, engineering notes, sketches, and/or detailed drawings to ensure each design meets industry and client standards. The CADD Manager will partner with project managers, surveyors, technicians, and engineers to jointly lead the development of survey and engineering deliverables in accordance with industry best practices. The ideal candidate would possess project management and leadership skills and have the ability to work independently or within a team environment.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Management of the company’s CADD environments and workspaces
- Oversee adherence to CADD standards and development of production standards and procedures
- Assist project managers by leading technical efforts on plans production
- Mentor junior engineers to develop sound drafting practices
- Work closely with production teams to ensure coordinated design and application of best practices
- Use technical manuals to ensure compliance with client policies and standards
- Advanced knowledge of design standards to ensure compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications
Computer Skills
- Proficiency working in Microstation and establishing CADD workspaces required
- Experience processing survey and LiDAR data to develop base maps required
- Experience with Open Road Designer (ORD) a plus
- Experience administering ProjectWise a plus
- Skills with AutoCAD, Civil 3D are a plus
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Surveying, Computer-Aided Design or a related field
- 5+ years of experience with CADD
